“Epsilon Echo”

EPSILON ECHO – A contained SciFi thriller set primarily in a suburban home. The cast consist of four main characters, with a STRONG FEMALE LEAD.

When a house-bound Astronomer discovers the echoes of past transmissions, she believes she has tapped into a rich vein of lost nostalgia. She hadn’t counted on a secret government code concerning a plot to assassinate a president or just what lengths the modern deep state would go to, to prevent their recovery.

Epsilon Echo is a contained thriller reminiscent of “Disturbia” or the classic “Rear Window”. Set mostly within a suburban home, it features a strong but disabled female lead.

When astrophysicist Genny Beamer’s new invention picks up an alien signal, she calls on the expertise of her gaming group for help. Kip, the closeted mathematician, Bob the geeky programmer, and Stuart the attractive engineer, determine that she has actually intercepted secret ‘deep state’ communications. An attempted burglary of her home turns to sexual assault, her online presence is hacked, and one by one, members of her group are attacked or killed, to prevent the release of her invention. In a final confrontation of slashing knives and flashing sabers, Genny proves she is more than equal to the task of taking out an able bodied opponent and facing her fears of living life beyond the threshold of her home.

Casting for Epsilon Echo can be multi-cultural. It taps into the online gaming community, conspiracy fanatics, SETI and the dark underside of the internet for a broad ‘Black Mirror’  and ‘woman in peril’ appeal.

The mystery is driven by a classic Hitchcockian “McGuffin” and features a unique climax of intense physical combat.
